The RBI published two rupee coin to commemorate Jagadguru Sant Tukaram. Saint Tukaram was a prominent
Varkari Sant and spiritual poet during the Bhakti movement in India. Sant
Tukaram was born and lived most of his life in Dehu, a town close to Pune in
MahΔrΔshtra, India. Sant Tukaram was the reincarnation of Sant Namdev. Tukaram was born in a village
called Dehu which is about 20kms from Pune. Jagadguru Sant Tukaram was lived during 17th
century.

This Copper-nickel coin weighs 6.1 grams and has got a
diameter of 26.7 mm and thickness of 1.58 mm.

The reserve Bank of India issued five rupee coins to commemorate
the 150th anniversary of the Comptroller and Auditor General of
India. This new five rupee coin has got a speciality. It has got the emblem of
the Government of India on both sides.
This Nickel-brass coin weighs 6 grams and has got a diameter
of 23 mm and thickness of 1.9 mm.
